Christine Arreola, Teacher
Health and exercise are a central part of my life. I practiced as a Registered Nurse in a Neurology/Neurosurgery unit and have always found peace in working out. Shortly after yogaErie opened, I attended my first hot power vinyasa flow class and was hooked. The challenging physical work out empowered me. Yoga aided the connection between my mind, body, and spirit, making my continued regular practice invaluable.
I dedicated myself to a deeper knowledge of yoga. I completed Amazing Yoga’s Level One teacher training in Pittsburgh under Sean and Karen Conley (2012). I completed Amazing Yoga’s Level Two teacher training in Maya Tulum, Mexico (2013). Through Plasha Yoga, I completed both Mindfulness and Mediation and Pranayama teacher trainings (2017). This was followed by Plasha Yoga’s Integrative Yoga 200-hour teacher training (2018), and Yoga Renew’s Yin Yoga training (2019). I have also participated in workshops with Baron Baptiste, Gregor Singleton, Claire Este-McDonald and Girish.
In addition to my yoga teacher training, I am Level 3 certified in Reiki, an energy healing technique. Reiki has complimented the greater understanding of physical and mental well-being I have obtained through my yoga journey.
Being on my mat practicing yoga quiets my mind and allows me to just be with the flow of my breath. I hope every student will experience this and gain their own passion for yoga.
